The HTC One M8 was recently released and this phone is the shiznizz. HTC has a cult following that began with the original HTC EVO. The HTC EVO revolutionized android smartphones and was a pioneer product for the time. Competition soon caught up and rendered it obsolete within a few months, but, for a while, the EVO was the phone to have. HTC followed up on this success with the EVO 3D, the first smartphone with 3D capabilities. Then came other iterations of the EVO, like the EVO Shift, followed by the EVO LTE, and finally the HTC ONE line (which is sold in our shop .. you know bee tee dubs).
The HTC One M8 is the newest phone from HTC. The phone features a 5-inch 1080p Full HD screen, SnapDragon 801 quad-core processor, a 4 Megapixel dual camera system, HTC Boomsound speakers, a 2600 mAH Battery allowing for up to a full day of battery life, a new ultra power saving mode allowing for another 24 hours of battery life at 15% battery, and a new ergonomic metal design.
I know you're like "that's cool and all but why should I buy this phone, Eric?" I will tell you my dear techie. This phone reinvents smartphones yet again. HTC has really put its heart and soul into this phone. I'll break it down for you to make it easy to understand.
The Camera: HTC has decided that instead of adding more megapixels they would focus on making pictures clearer. The dual camera lens allows for auto focus on the foreground or background. Colors are bright and pictures taken in the dark show vivid detail. The cameras also allow for full 1080p HD recording.
HTC Boomsound: See those two speakers at the top and bottom of the phone? Yea that's HTC Boomsound. Dual speakers pump out studio quality sound and they are LOUD. Ever put your phone on speaker while you were running around doing something? Remember how if you so much as moved anything you couldn't hear what the other person was saying. Or ever tried to show someone a video on your phone and they missed the whole thing because they held the speaker to their ear to hear it? Those days are over with Boomsound.
Extreme Power Save Mode: Oh no!!!! My phone is at like 10% and I wont be able to get to my charger for a couple hours. What am I to do? Turn on Extreme Power Save Mode; You can get an extra 24 hours out of your battery depending on your usage. Wow, how does it work? Well, it turns off all of your non essentials and slows down the processor to allow you to make calls and keep your phone alive until you can get to your charger. Oh and it gives you a customized display with apps that you consider essential to reduce the time you spend looking for your apps to save even more battery.
